Red has always been associated with strength, passion, energy and optimism so this is a great shade for 2023.Viva Magenta is inspired by the red of cochineal, one of the most precious natural dyes.

According to Pantone, Viva Magenta is “assertive but not aggressive, it is a carmine red that does not boldly dominate but takes a ‘fist in a velvet glove’ approach”.

Pongees silks inspired by PANTONE VivaMagenta  (18-1750), include tulle, double crepe, crepe satin, marocain, twill, habotai, douppion, georgette and organza ranges available in a spectrum of reds including fuchsia, raspberry, cerise and azalea.
